Universal Music GroupSustainable album release in all formats
For our client Universal Music Group, we produced the seventh studio album entitled „AUF AUF“ by the Bautzen-based band „Silbermond“.
Four years after the release of their last number one album „Schritte“, the band released twelve new songs in their familiar pop style with German lyrics and catchy guitar music on the new long-player. We produced double records in gatefolds, CDs in digisleeves and the exclusive optimal media books with CD and concert tickets.
A special focus was placed on the interplay between the printed matter and the timeless artwork for all production variants. The CD edition appeared in a four-page digisleeve including a 24-page booklet and a two-page tour insert. The digisleeve was printed „inside out“.

For the vinyl version, the coloured ReVinyl is a more sustainable 12-inch vinyl record (180g heavyweight) made from 100 percent recycled PVC. Every single copy is unique. Both ReVinyls were packaged in printed inner sleeves, which are placed inside the gatefold together with a two-sided tour insert in vinyl record format. Here too, the gatefolds were printed as „inside out“.
However, the absolute highlight of this release is probably the optimal media book with hardcover and 108 pages of content. Also produced as an „inside out“, there is a glued-in disc holder for a CD on the U2 and a glued-in holder with a precisely fitting slot for a tour ticket with perforation on the U3, which has been made up in six different categories. This exclusive mediabook is protected by a hardcover slipcase.
All packaging and printed materials were made from FSC-mix offset paper and cardboard. It is particularly worth mentioning that the band signed more than 3,000 copies of the CDs and vinyl records on site, thus creating genuine collector’s items for their fans.
