Maria Callas, also known as „La Divina“ („The Divine“), is one of the most important sopranos of the 20th century. By the end of her musical career, she had appeared on stage more than 500 times and shone in a wide variety of operas. The singer was prized for her unmistakable performances and exceptional vocal range.
At the end of 2023, Warner Classics released „La Divina – Maria Callas in all her roles“, the most comprehensive edition of Callas recordings ever published. A limited edition box set contains recordings of the soprano in all 74 roles for which audio documents exist, as well as all studio recordings and a large collection of her best live recordings and videos. This is complemented by a documentation of conversations between the artist, conductors and recording directors from the 1960s.
In a limited deluxe edition, the entire material can be found on 131 CDs, one DVD and three Blu-ray Discs. These are packaged in pockets and housed in an elaborately designed slip of lid box in two slipcases. Above this is a 148-page hardcover book, which can be removed using a lifting strap. The box itself is finished with hot foil stamping and numbered for the limited edition.
A double CD with booklet in a six-page digipac and the three-CD edition in an optimal media book with three integrated pockets offer a best-of collection of interpretations.

Selected tracks can also be heard on vinyl. In addition to a picture vinyl record in a spined sleeve and a vinyl record (180g) in black in gatefold, two versions have been released as coloured records (140g) in crystal clear and red. These are each packaged in white inner sleeves and gatefolds, which are additionally finished with matt lacquer. The artwork of the packaging and labels was colour-coordinated with the respective vinyl record edition.
All in all, this makes for an all-round successful product range that features a well thought-out graphic design with a portrait of La Divina that can be found on all products.
