Gute Laune ungerecht verteilt

Kettcar

Grand Hotel van Cleef

Project description

Versatile release on BioVinyl

With „Gute Laune ungerecht verteilt“, Kettcar, as representatives of the „Hamburger Schule“, have not only released their sixth studio album, but have also chosen an album title that perfectly captures the wit of the times.

Seven years after their last album release, they seamlessly pick up on earlier works. Although the reflection on social developments in their German lyrics is characterised by a certain pessimism, this is balanced out by hopeful wordplay and powerful, energetic music. Lyrics such as „Und nicht alle in Hamburg wollen zu ‚König der Löwen’“ („And not everyone in Hamburg wants to go to ‚The Lion King’“), „Turnschuhe, so weiß wie Aspirin“ („Trainers as white as aspirin“) and „Bevor die letzte Hoffnung schwindet … Ein Bengalo in der Nacht … Bevor die Dunkelheit Dich findet …“ („Before the last hope fades … A Bengalo in the night … Before the darkness finds you …“) demonstrate this impressively.

In addition to four record versions as 12inch long players, we also produced a total of four different coloured 7inch singles for „Auch für mich 6. Stunde“ in Orange, „München“ in Yellow, „Doug & Florence“ in Purple and „Ein Brief meines 20-jährigen Ichs (Jedes Ideal ist ein Richter)“ in Dark Green. All singles were pressed on BioVinyl and packaged in „inside out“ printed discobags and white inner sleeves.

Three versions of the album were produced in a box sleeve, each with a printed inner sleeve and a 12inch vinyl record in the colours Black, Dark Green and Yellow (all 140g). The yellow version also contains a poster and a sticker.

In addition, a deluxe version was produced as a gatefold with a Split vinyl record in Dark Green and Yellow on 180g heavyweight BioVinyl. This version also includes a poster, a sticker and a LP slipmat.

The box sleeves, inner sleeves and gatefold were printed as „inside out“. All vinyl records were pressed on BioVinyl for Kettcar and bear the BioVinyl logo.

In the selection and coordination of materials and the artwork, the band has created a coherent and sustainable overall picture that focuses on the essentials and offers a consistent product experience.
