Callwey Verlag
Experience worlds are created here
Callwey Verlag is known for its distinctive book concept, which takes the reader on a journey full of tangible impressions and inspiration and presents the content in the highest quality. One of the publisher’s many themed worlds deals extensively with the area of „Cooking & Baking“. Here we present three wonderful and particularly refined works.
„British Christmas“ by Heide Christiansen literally brings glamour to the Christmas season. This is achieved by finishing the cover with a matt foil lamination and hot foil embossing in gold. The layout of the shortened endpaper and the dark red and yellow striped capital band are in keeping with British recipes and traditions.
„Das Original Kreutzkamm Backbuch“ by Elisabeth Kreutzkamm-Aumüller and Martin Fraas provides an insight into a traditional confectionery that is over 200 years old. The cover is provided with a glossy foil lamination and deep embossing for the banderole. This has a special shape and hot foil embossing in copper. In addition to the pink and white striped headband that matches the title, the baking book has a grey, four-millimetre-wide ribbon. The endpaper is also shortened here.
No less striking and special is „Zu Gast in Venedig“ by Christine Grafin von der Pahlen and Mayk Wendt in this book presentation. The cover of the hardcover is covered with a linen-textured paper printed with foil colours and embossed for the banderole. The capital band and ribbon are a perfectly coordinated pink colour. A special feature of this shortened endpaper is the cut-out of two eyes from a floral mask motif, which reveals the contents of the following page.
All three hardcovers have a box spine with an inlay and a special edge width of five millimetres, which provides additional protection for the contents.
